The film stars Michael B. Jordan, who is also nominated for Best Actor. Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Adapted Screenplay for One Battle After Another, based on Thomas Pynchon's novel Vineland. Both filmmakers acknowledged their inspirations and expressed gratitude during their acceptance speeches.
