Rima Das's 'Not a Hero' to Premiere at 2026 Berlin International Film Festival

National Award-winning Assamese filmmaker Rima Das will premiere her new feature film, Not a Hero, at the 76th Berlin International Film Festival in 2026. Selected for the Generation Kplus Competition, the film explores a young boy's journey between urban and rural settings, examining themes of strength, masculinity, and belonging. Shot in Assamese, Hindi, and English, it marks Das's third Berlinale appearance and her first collaboration with cinematographer Aditya Varma. The film is co-produced with Singapore's Akanga Film Asia.
