Screenwriter Javed Akhtar has announced he is considering legal action against creators and distributors of a deepfake video falsely depicting him with a religious head covering and claiming he has turned to God. Akhtar, known for his secular and atheistic views, called the video "rubbish" and stated he may report it to cyber police for damaging his reputation. This comes after a recent public debate he participated in regarding the existence of God.
