Santhosh stated that the song's concept originated from director Manikandan and that he composed and produced the melodies, while Arivu wrote most lyrics and performed. Arivu contested his credit as a featuring artist despite his significant contributions and said attempts to resolve the issue privately failed. Both parties have shared differing accounts amid social media allegations of credit misappropriation involving Santhosh's stepdaughter, singer Dhee.
