Actor Arshad Warsi described his experience filming 'Hulchul' as a "bad experience," stating he felt "tricked" into the role. He was initially promised a part similar to Akshay Kumar's in 'Hera Pheri' by director Neeraj Vohra. However, upon arriving on set, Warsi found the role significantly different and the costume inappropriate, leading him to wear his own clothes for much of the film.
