Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar Discuss Decision to Make Jailer 2 Sequel
Rajinikanth initially declined sequels for his films Baasha and Petta, expressing a general reluctance toward sequels that merely add superficial elements. However, after watching Jailer on OTT, he saw potential for a sequel due to the story's open ending. Director Nelson Dilipkumar was initially skeptical about Jailer 2 but postponed a Telugu project to develop its script. Rajinikanth's decision reflects a preference for sequels that naturally extend the original narrative.
