Renowned art director K. Shekhar passed away at 72 in Thiruvananthapuram. He began his film career as a costume designer for the 1982 Malayalam film 'Padayottam'. Shekhar is recognized for his work as the art director on India's first 3D film, 'My Dear Kuttichathan', and designed the rotating room for a song in the movie. He also contributed to films like 'Nokketha Doorath Kannum Nattu' and 'Chanakyan'.
