Prabhas' fantasy horror-comedy The Raja Saab opened strongly on January 9, earning around Rs 53.75 crore on Day 1 and crossing Rs 119 crore in India by Day 5. However, the film experienced a sharp decline in collections during the weekdays, with Day 5 earnings dropping to approximately Rs 4.85 crore. The Telugu version led box office contributions, while Hindi and other language versions showed weaker performance. Director Maruthi attributed the lukewarm reception partly to audience expectations during the festive season. Meanwhile, competing releases like Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu have outperformed The Raja Saab during the Sankranti festival.
