Delite Cinema, one of India's first post-Independence single-screen theaters in Old Delhi, has survived despite the decline of similar venues. Its owner, Shashank Raizada, attributes its longevity to adapting to changing viewing cultures and entertainment modes, from VCRs to OTTs and smartphones. The cinema has evolved by adding a second screen and screening diverse content, maintaining 30-40% occupancy and demonstrating resilience against challenges like multiplexes and the pandemic.
