Netflix's upcoming thriller 'Ghooskhor Pandat,' starring Manoj Bajpayee and directed by Neeraj Pandey, has sparked controversy over its title, which some allege insults the Brahmin community by associating 'Pandat' with corruption. Following widespread protests, legal notices, and an FIR filed in Lucknow on orders of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, the filmmakers have taken down promotional materials. Both Pandey and Bajpayee have stated the film is a fictional cop drama not intended to target any caste or community. The National Human Rights Commission has also sought a report on the matter, while political leaders including Mayawati have called for a ban.
