
Bobby J. Brown, known for his role as Officer Bobby Brown on HBO's The Wire, died at 62 from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries sustained in a barn fire at his Maryland home. The fire began while he attempted to jump-start a vehicle. His wife suffered severe burns trying to rescue him. The Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death accidental. Brown had a background in boxing and appeared in several TV series including Law & Order: SVU and We Own This City.
