Twenty-one-year-old Maiher Singh Virk, a Canadian tabla player, made his debut at the 150th Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan. Virk, a psychology student and disciple of Sukhwinder Singh Pinky Namdhari, fulfilled his late mother's dream of performing in India. Despite being born and raised abroad, Virk found his passion for the tabla through his family's musical heritage and dedicated practice, crediting his guru for his performance.
