SS Rajamouli Describes Varanasi as Larger Than RRR, Details Filming and Marketing
SS Rajamouli has revealed that his upcoming film Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra, is five to six times larger in scale than his previous blockbuster RRR, despite being completed in 275 shooting days compared to RRR's 315. The action-adventure film features diverse cinematic sequences shot across multiple locations and is set for release on April 7, 2027. Meanwhile, RRR's success was supported by a strategic marketing campaign to introduce its lead actors to wider audiences beyond Telugu-speaking regions.
