Jayanthi Kumaresh to Receive Sangita Kalanidhi at Music Academy's 100th Conference

The Music Academy, Chennai, will honor veena player Jayanthi Kumaresh with the Sangita Kalanidhi award during its 100th Conference and Concerts in December 2026. Bharatanatyam dancer Narendra G will receive the Nritya Kalanidhi award. Kumaresh, from a distinguished Carnatic music family, is recognized for revitalizing the Saraswati veena, an instrument less featured in recent decades. Other awards include the Sangita Kala Acharya and TTK Awards to notable musicians.
