Ranabaali Releases to Mixed Reviews for Performances and Pacing
Ranabaali, a Telugu period action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, released on October 16, 2026. Set during the Madras Famine of 1876-78, it depicts a warrior's fight against British colonial oppression. While the lead actors' performances and chemistry received praise, critics and audiences noted the film's slow pacing, lengthy runtime, and heavy violence. The screenplay and background score drew mixed reactions, with many calling the narrative tiresome despite strong production design. The film is expected to stream on Netflix after its theatrical run.
