Designer JJ Valaya showcased a couture collection at the 'Inheritances of Light, Geographies of Loss' exhibition held at Delhi's Travancore Palace. The multidisciplinary event, curated by Myna Mukherjee and organized with the Netherlands embassy, explored light as a cultural legacy shaped by migration and empire. Valaya's collection featured traditional womenswear with layered ensembles using archival textiles, embroidery, and motifs reflecting centuries of Indo-European trade and cultural exchange, blending fashion with art and history.
