Assamese Musician Samar Hazarika, Brother of Bhupen Hazarika, Dies at 75

Renowned Assamese musician and composer Samar Hazarika, the youngest brother of music icon Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, passed away at 75 after a brief illness. Hazarika, known for his contributions to Assamese music through songs reflecting themes of humanity and patriotism, had a career spanning decades in radio, albums, and films. He played a significant role in carrying forward his elder brother's musical legacy. Condolences were expressed by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
