Javed Akhtar celebrated his 81st birthday with family and friends, marked by a performance from singer Sonu Nigam who sang 'Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye.' Actress Shabana Azmi and Akhtar himself joined the celebration. Last year, Akhtar collaborated with artists including Nigam to launch Goongoonalo, India's first artist-owned cultural app. Nigam recently contributed to the Border 2 album, dedicating a reimagined song to Indian soldiers and their families.
