Ram Gopal Varma Details Urmila Matondkar's Casting and Bhoot's Vacant Filming Location

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma revealed that Urmila Matondkar was cast in his 2003 horror film Bhoot after being impressed by her intense expression in the song "Hai Rama" from his earlier film Rangeela. Bhoot, shot primarily in a single Mumbai apartment in Lokhandwala over 30 days, became a box-office success and earned Matondkar several awards. Varma also noted that the apartment used for filming has remained vacant since 2002, with no one willing to move in after the film's release.
