Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, father of actor Salman Khan and one half of the iconic Salim-Javed duo, was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on March 17 after nearly a month of treatment for a minor brain haemorrhage. Admitted on February 17, he underwent a diagnostic procedure called Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) and was placed on ventilator support as a precaution. His condition improved steadily with close monitoring and frequent visits from family and film industry friends. Though discharged, he remains under observation as he continues recovery at home.
