Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has been invited by the Shimla Municipal Corporation to be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Shimla Winter Carnival on January 1. Mayor Surinder Chauhan highlighted the carnival's showcase of Himachal Pradesh's culture, traditions, and heritage, with a theme of "Chitta-free Himachal" to promote tourism and cultural legacy. The Governor commended the initiative for strengthening the economy and connecting youth with culture while deterring substance abuse.
