Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film 'Spirit' has been embroiled in controversy regarding the casting of the female lead. Reports suggest Deepika Padukone was initially approached but walked out due to unmet demands, including a Rs 40 crore fee and an 8-hour workday. Vanga reportedly offered Rs 20 crore and did not agree to the limited hours. Padukone later commented on the double standard for male actors working 8-hour shifts. Vanga also indirectly criticized Padukone for allegedly leaking the film's plot.
