
Film producer Meyer Gottlieb, known for his work on "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty," has died at age 86. Gottlieb, a Holocaust survivor born in Poland, was the longtime chief of Samuel Goldwyn Films. He passed away at his Los Angeles home on Monday. His career also included executive roles in films like "Mystic Pizza" and "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman."
