Satyajit Ray's 1970 classic "Aranyer Din Ratri" is being rereleased in a 4K restored version across PVR INOX theatres starting January 9. The film, an adaptation of Sunil Gangopadhyay's novel, explores themes of gender, class, and identity through four young men on a forest trip. Having previously screened at Cannes, the rerelease aims to honor Ray's legacy and introduce his work to new audiences. The movie will be shown with English subtitles in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune.
