Filmmaker Carlos Lopez Estrada confirmed that Disney's planned live-action CG hybrid remake of the 1973 animated film 'Robin Hood' has been cancelled. Announced in 2020, the project aimed to recreate the musical comedy featuring anthropomorphic animals, similar to Disney's remakes of 'The Jungle Book' and 'Dumbo'. Estrada expressed regret over the cancellation and mentioned considering an independent version with different characters. The original film earned over $33 million at the box office.
