Eros International Files Rs 84 Crore Lawsuit Against Aanand L Rai Over 'Tere Ishk Mein'

Eros International Media Ltd has filed a Rs 84 crore lawsuit in the Bombay High Court against filmmaker Aanand L Rai and his production company Colour Yellow Media Entertainment LLP. The suit alleges trademark and copyright infringement, claiming that Rai promoted the 2025 film Tere Ishk Mein as a 'spiritual sequel' to the 2013 film Raanjhanaa without authorization. The lawsuit also names Super Cassettes Industries (T-Series), writer Himanshu Sharma, and Netflix India, focusing on alleged misuse of intellectual property rights including characters and promotional materials.
