Thiruvananthapuram will host the Kerala Legislative Assembly International Book Festival from January 7-13, 2026. The event will feature a week of books, art, and tradition, including performances of the ritual art form Theyyam from North Kerala. These performances, organized by the Mahe Theyyam Heritage Committee, will take place at the Assembly complex from January 8-12, showcasing various Theyyam forms. A Kalaripayattu demonstration is also scheduled. The festival aims to blend literature with cultural experiences for attendees.
