
The Sahitya Akademi announced the 2025 award winners, recognizing outstanding literary works across 24 Indian languages. Assamese writer Devabrat Das won for his novel Kakhi Khelor Sadhu, while Sahaisuli Brahma and Haobam Nalini received awards in Bodo and Manipuri categories, respectively. Other recipients include Prasun Bandyopadhyay (Bengali), Navtej Sarna (English), Mamta Kalia (Hindi), and Prakash Bhattarai (Nepali), among others. Selections were made by juries of eminent writers and scholars.
