Dhurandhar Breaks Streaming Records; Sequel's OTT Rights Sold for Rs 150 Crore

Ranveer Singh's espionage thriller Dhurandhar achieved record-breaking success, garnering 7.6 million views on Netflix within its opening weekend and topping charts in multiple countries, including Pakistan and the UAE, despite bans in Gulf cinemas. Produced by Jio Studios, the film's sequel, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, will release theatrically on March 19, 2026, and stream exclusively on Jio Hotstar. The digital rights for the sequel were sold for a reported Rs 150 crore, nearly double the first film's deal, marking one of the largest OTT transactions in recent years.
