Producer Explains Tabu's Absence in 'Border 2' and Film's Connection to General Bipin Rawat

Producer Nidhi Dutta explained that Tabu was not cast in 'Border 2' because the film depicts a different war and characters than the original 1997 'Border'. Sunny Deol plays a new role, so his character's wife is also different. The film is based on real stories of Indian soldiers shared by the late Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, who entrusted the project to Nidhi and her father JP Dutta as a moral responsibility before his passing.
