India's Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has mandated over eight minutes of edits to the film 'The Housemaid' for its 2026 release. The cuts include removal of explicit language and significant frontal nudity, particularly involving actresses Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried. Intimate scenes and specific nudity visuals have been deleted, while a brief shot of the male lead's buttocks remains. The Indian version's runtime is reduced by six minutes, incorporating anti-smoking ads.
