President Murmu Confers 65 Padma Awards Including Mammootty and Alka Yagnik
At the second Civil Investiture Ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu conferred 65 Padma Awards for 2026, including two Padma Vibhushan, seven Padma Bhushan, and 56 Padma Shri. Malayalam actor Mammootty received the Padma Bhushan for his five-decade contribution to Indian cinema, accompanied by his family. Playback singer Alka Yagnik and actor R Madhavan were also honoured. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan.
