On its sixth day, coinciding with the Pongal holiday, the film's earnings rose to Rs 5.1 crore, bringing its total India net collection to around Rs 35.85 crore and worldwide to approximately Rs 63-64 crore. The film faced last-minute certification delays but benefited from increased screen availability after a competing release was postponed. It features a political historical drama set in the 1960s and includes a notable cast.
