Mookuthi Amman 2 Released with Mixed Reviews on Story and Humor
Mookuthi Amman 2, directed by Sundar C and starring Nayanthara, is a Tamil fantasy devotional film blending mythology, time travel, comedy, and action. The sequel expands the original's scope with a storyline involving divine intervention across timelines and a battle against a dark sorceress played by Regina Cassandra. While Nayanthara's performance and visual effects received praise, reviews noted uneven storytelling, predictable plot elements, and mixed reactions to the humor. The film's devotional aspects are expected to resonate particularly with rural audiences.
