A music program honoring singer Shivamogga Subbanna and celebrating Kuvempu's birth anniversary was held in Shivamogga on December 28. Organized by Abhiruchi in collaboration with several trusts and the Kannada and Culture Department, the event featured singers performing songs previously rendered by Subbanna. Subbanna, the first Kannadiga to win a national award for playback singing, was known for his renditions of poems by Kuvempu, a native of Shivamogga and a Jnanapeetha awardee. The tribute aimed to honor both cultural figures.
