Superstar Rajinikanth announced that shooting for his upcoming film with director Cibi Chakravarthy will begin in April 2026. The project, produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, is described by Rajinikanth as a "proper commercial entertainer." Initially, director Sundar C was attached but stepped down due to unforeseen circumstances. Rajinikanth also extended Pongal greetings and emphasized the importance of farmers to the country.
