Sunny Deol Debuts on Netflix with Legal Drama Ikka Despite Initial Apprehension
Sunny Deol made his OTT debut with the Netflix legal drama Ikka, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. Initially apprehensive about the film's lack of action, which contrasts with his established action-hero image, Deol was convinced by Netflix's Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh to embrace the courtroom drama genre. Released in July 2024, Ikka also stars Akshaye Khanna and Dia Mirza, and achieved notable success on the streaming platform. Deol approached the project with commitment despite initial doubts.
