Shehnai maestro Pandit Shailesh Bhagwat and sitar exponent Ustad Rafeeque Khan presented a captivating jugalbandhi at Palakkad's Swaralaya Samanwayam festival. The duo performed in Raga Yaman and night ragas, showcasing harmonious interplay between wind and string instruments. Bhagwat, a disciple of Ustad Bismillah Khan, emphasized controlled tones, complemented by Khan's nimble sitar work. The performance was followed by a Sufi Qawwali rendition and an award ceremony.
