
The Assamese film 'Moi Eti Nixhasor,' directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Bidyut Kotoky, won the 'Award of Excellence Special Mention' at the US-based Accolade Global Film Competition. The film, based on a true story by journalist Anuradha Sharma Pujari, follows Koduwa, a cunning village thief facing social and political challenges in Assam. This recognition places the film among the competition's top 10 entries, highlighting its artistic and technical merit. The film has also been selected for the Covellite International Film Festival 2026 in the USA.
