Filmmaker Cibi Chakravarthy has been appointed as the new director for the highly anticipated Rajinikanth-starrer, tentatively titled Thalaivar 173, produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. This development follows the earlier exit of director Sundar C due to creative differences. Chakravarthy, known for his work on 'Don', expressed his excitement about fulfilling a lifelong dream. The film is slated for a Pongal 2027 release, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
