'Bole Chudiyan' Song Exceeded Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham's Initial Budget, Filmmaker Recalls

Filmmaker Nikkhil Advani recalled that the entire initial budget of Rs 3 crore for the Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was spent on the shoot of its iconic song 'Bole Chudiyan.' Producer Yash Johar approved the budget quickly but tore it up after seeing the extravagant set, encouraging the team to proceed without financial constraints. The song's production involved hundreds of dancers and elaborate sets, causing challenges on set, including Karan Johar fainting and Kajol struggling with her costume.
