Director Anubhav Sinha addressed the controversy surrounding Deepika Padukone's reported request for an eight-hour work shift, describing such disputes as overblown and better resolved privately. He emphasized that actors setting work boundaries is a matter of mutual agreement, citing his experience with late actor Rishi Kapoor, who negotiated limited night shoots during the film Mulk. Sinha noted that if filmmakers are uncomfortable with an actor's demands, they can choose not to collaborate, and questioned the need to publicize such professional negotiations.
