AMMA Executive Committee Led by Shwetha Menon Resigns Amid Internal Disputes
The entire executive committee of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), led by first woman president Shwetha Menon, resigned following heated disputes at the annual general body meeting in Kochi. The resignations came amid allegations of financial irregularities, internal conflicts, and dissatisfaction among members, including a no-confidence motion against the leadership. Menon also resigned her membership, citing attempts to control the organisation by certain accused individuals. An ad hoc committee has been formed until new elections are held.
