
Dense fog and biting cold have gripped North India, leading to multiple vehicle collisions and disrupting daily life. Temperatures have dropped below 5 degrees Celsius in many regions, with Punjab and Kashmir experiencing particularly severe cold. The hazardous conditions have resulted in at least four deaths and around 30 injuries across the affected areas. The India Meteorological Department forecasts continued fog and cold wave conditions in several northern states through mid-January.
