A pilot was killed when a small aircraft, identified as a Cessna 170A and reportedly owned by an advertising company, crashed into the sea off Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana beach on Saturday afternoon. The plane was towing an advertising banner. Security footage shows the aircraft diving nose-first into the water around 12:30 p.m. Rescue teams, including divers and sonar equipment, searched the area for wreckage. The Brazilian air force has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
