Private Bus Catches Fire on Mumbai Highway; Passengers Evacuated Safely

On Tuesday morning in Mumbai, a private sleeper coach bus caught fire near the Times of India Bridge on the Borivali-bound side of the Western Express Highway in Malad East. Passengers onboard were safely evacuated, and firefighters extinguished the blaze within 30 minutes, though the bus was completely gutted. The fire temporarily affected traffic in the area. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown. Earlier, a minor fire also broke out in a building in Ghatkopar West without injuries.
