Punjab Agricultural University climate expert Dr. PK Khingra has warned of harsher winter conditions, including severe cold waves, dense fog, and ground frost, with minimum temperatures dropping below 4°C in many areas. These extreme conditions pose risks to field crops, orchards, vegetables, and livestock. Farmers are advised to take protective measures such as light irrigation, mulching, and providing nutrient-rich feed for animals to mitigate potential damage.
