Chandigarh experienced its first 'cold day' of the season on Thursday, marked by dense fog that reduced visibility to 200 meters. The maximum temperature reached 17.4°C, 5.2 degrees below normal, while the minimum was 6.9°C. This weather phenomenon is attributed to changing wind patterns caused by an incoming Western Disturbance, which is bringing moisture and disrupting dry north-westerly winds. Forecasters predict similar conditions with maximum temperatures between 19-21°C and minimums around 6-7°C for the next three days. Air quality remained moderate.
