IMD Forecasts Rain, Snow, Thunderstorms, and Fog Across Northwest India This Week

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a wet spell across northwest India from January 22 to 26, driven by three successive Western Disturbances. Heavy snowfall is expected in the western Himalayas, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, with light to moderate rainfall predicted in Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are likely in several regions. Dense fog will persist in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, affecting visibility and travel.
