
Uttar Pradesh is experiencing below-normal temperatures with dense to very dense fog expected in many areas. Lucknow recorded a minimum temperature around 5.5–5.8°C, marking one of the coldest nights this winter. The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for very dense fog across over 50 districts and a cold day warning for 38 districts. While western and central regions saw lower maximum temperatures, Bundelkhand recorded higher daytime temperatures. Fog and cold conditions are expected to persist until January 19.
